About Us

Gateway Domestic Violence Services is a leading provider of comprehensive services and safe shelter to adults and dependent children fleeing domestic violence in Arapahoe County, Colorado.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Part-Time Case Manager to provide case management services to victims of domestic violence, including crisis intervention, individual emotional support, advocacy, and assistance with gaining access to housing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crisis intervention, screening, and assessment services to victims of domestic violence
  • Provides advocacy support as needed, serving as a liaison between local agencies and clients on an emergency basis
  • Assists with applying for benefits and securing necessary documentation
  • Serves as a resource for housing applications and securing appropriate housing
  • Maintains complete client files, including standard forms and progress notes
  • Interacts with clients and resolves disputes using mediation skills
  • Responsible for proper safety precautions and security procedures
  • Understands trauma-informed care and how to use it in crisis situations
  • Develops awareness of community resources available to referral partners
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field preferred, but related work experience will be considered
  • A minimum of one year experience in human services, with experience in counseling and crisis intervention, including a working knowledge of the dynamics of domestic violence
  • The successful candidate embodies Gateway's core values and believes fully in Gateway's mission
  • Experience with domestic violence, knowledge of trauma-informed care, and a positive attitude and openness to supporting people in crisis
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and work effectively as part of a team to deliver overall services
  • CPR and First Aid certified, preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Bilingual skills strongly preferred
