Electrical Superintendent Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead our commercial/industrial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, circuitry, and project management.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical systems, and circuit plans.
  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.
  • Schedule material and equipment to ensure timely project completion.
  • Ensure compliance with National and Local Electric Codes.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment.
  • Manage and supervise multiple crews simultaneously.
  • Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation.
  • Allocate resources for assigned projects.
  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman or Superintendent in a commercial/industrial setting.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Willingness to travel is highly desirable.
  • Applicant must be able to pass an electrical aptitude test, background check, and drug screening.
