About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Litigation Contract Attorney to join our Defense Unit in New York City. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of cases, taking depositions, participating in and negotiating discovery, and defending police action cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Litigation: Handle a high volume of cases, taking depositions, participating in and negotiating discovery, and defending police action cases.
  • Document Review: Conduct document exchange, review, redaction, and privilege assessments, ensuring confidentiality, especially when dealing with sensitive police documents.
  • Case Management: Manage cases from inception through trial, working closely with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure a thorough defense strategy.
Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of litigation experience (civil or criminal). A background in civil litigation and familiarity with police documentation is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong document review and redaction skills, with the ability to handle privileged information discreetly and effectively.
