Feed Sales Professional

At United Cooperative, we offer a competitive salary of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. As a Feed Sales Specialist, you will play a critical role in promoting and selling our feed and forage products to customers and prospects throughout the trade territory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Making sales calls to existing and new customers to increase product sales and market share.
  • Taking written orders and contracting feed and other products on an ongoing basis.
  • Building relationships with dairy and livestock operations and soliciting opportunities to bid on feed and mineral mixes.
  • Providing technical production service to customers, including ration formulation, record analysis, inventory management, and feed budgets.

Requirements:

  • A four-year degree in an agricultural field or equivalent combination of farm experience and prior sales experience.
  • Strong people skills, including persuasiveness and persistence, ability to learn quickly, and self-motivation.
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office proficiency.

Working Conditions:

  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Bending, stooping, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work in indoor and outdoor weather conditions.
