POSITION SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Industrial Maintenance Specialist is to deliver proficient and effective electrical and mechanical maintenance support to the facility operations while prioritizing safety. This role involves the upkeep, adjustment, and repair of machinery to adhere to industry standards and ensure compliance with various regulatory bodies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Execute maintenance tasks on operational equipment while adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

• Troubleshoot and install manufacturing machinery, including conveyors, case erectors, and industrial ovens.

• Comply with safety regulations and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) in an industrial setting.

• Work safely with electrical systems, including single-phase and three-phase circuits, with experience in 480V systems.

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals, and utilize various tools and testing equipment.

• Diagnose mechanical issues, replace defective components, and conduct final adjustments for high-speed production machinery.

• Maintain equipment according to manufacturer specifications and complete preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled.

• Manage parts inventory efficiently and communicate stock levels for reordering.

• Operate machinery such as lathes and drill presses as necessary for repairs or fabrication.

• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety standards.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, preferably in food production.

• Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing processes gained through relevant experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and energized equipment, with varying noise levels depending on tasks.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical requirements for this position include regular communication, occasional standing and walking, and the ability to lift up to 50-75 pounds. Vision capabilities include close, distance, and color vision.

OTHER DUTIES
