We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) to join our team at Freedom Behavioral of Ville Platte, a DPU of Mercy Regional Hospital. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care to geriatric patients with acute psychiatric needs.

Job Summary

This is a PRN (as-needed) position that requires flexibility and adaptability. As a CNA, you will work closely with licensed nursing staff to ensure the needs of patients are met by performing routine tasks and activities within the scope of your training and experience.

You will provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and dignity of our patients.

As a CNA, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Providing emotional support and comfort to patients
  • Collaborating with licensed nursing staff to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of patient care
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A High School Education or equivalent
  • Certification as a Nurse Assistant from an approved program (or willingness to obtain certification within a specified timeframe)
  • Previous experience working as a CNA or MHT in a geriatric setting (preferred)
