Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Concierge Attendant to join our team at the Odessa Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. As a key member of our guest services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring their stay with us is memorable and enjoyable.
Key Responsibilities- Provide prompt and courteous service to guests, responding to their needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and order of the club lounge, common guest areas, and surrounding spaces.
- Forecast and communicate special requests to the kitchen, ensuring seamless execution of guest preferences.
- Requisition and transport supplies as needed, ensuring efficient operation of the lounge.
- Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Document pertinent information in the department logbook, reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
- Ensure the lounge area is clean and free of trash at all times, maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere.
- Provide a professional image at all times, communicating effectively with guests and team members.
- Maintain knowledge of all hotel features, services, hours of operation, room rates, special packages, and promotions, daily house count, and expected arrivals/departures.
- Be familiar with local attractions and activities, responding to guest inquiries accurately and providing recommendations.
- Organize special functions as directed by management, ensuring seamless execution and guest satisfaction.
- Resolve guest complaints and make appropriate management and co-workers aware of the action or situation.
- Keep work area neat and organized, ensuring all supplies are available, including photocopies.
- Maintain guest confidentiality at all times, adhering to Marriott standards and policies.
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) or Work Equivalent.
- Computer skills required, with familiarity with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Experience with hotel systems is preferred.
- Good understanding of the English language.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor.
- Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds.
- Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas.
- Knowledge of the local area.
- Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
- Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for up to 8-hours in length.
- Must be willing and have the ability to work a varied schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
