Plumber/Steamfitter I

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Steamfitter I to join our team at University Hospital in Newark, NJ. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of plumbing systems and fixtures, including supply systems, DWV systems, plumbing, heating, and steam fixtures/equipment.

• Perform maintenance repairs and installation/replacement of plumbing systems and fixtures
• Assist in the work direction of other mechanics, trades helpers, and mechanics of other skilled trades
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and national codes

• Technical school diploma or equivalent level of knowledge
• Five (5) years of experience in the operation, maintenance, and installation of plumbing systems/equipment
• Sound knowledge of blueprint and schematic reading
• New Jersey Black Seal Engineer's License preferred
