Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pit Truck Operator to join our team at Permian Basin Materials LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, and movement of sand and gravel materials in our plant/yard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload sand and gravel materials from trucks and equipment.
  • Material Handling: Move materials around the plant/yard using pit trucks and other equipment.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with management and team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Service Plant Support: Assist with servicing plants, including greasing bearings and changing screens on crushers.
  • Material Shoveling: Shovel dry and/or wet material as needed.
  • Equipment Repair: Assist mechanics with equipment repairs, including changing oil, hoses, and conveyor belts.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, push or pull up to 100 pounds, and climb in and out of equipment frequently.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
