Pediatric LVN

As a skilled LVN, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse or physician/advanced practice provider. Your observational skills will enable you to assist medical staff in ensuring optimal care within established policies, procedures, and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide therapeutic patient care in accordance with established plans of care and within the scope of practice.
Transcribe physician/advanced practice provider orders and administer specified medication accurately and safely.
Execute treatments such as urinary catheterizations, placement of intravenous catheters, and suctioning procedures, utilizing equipment as required.
Adhere to infection prevention and control policies and procedures, and maintain a high level of disinfectant, point of use, and peel packs policies and procedures.
Perform related patient care functions such as taking vital signs, wound care, and instructing patients in self-administered treatments or procedures.
Assist physician/advanced practice providers or other medical staff personnel with examinations and treatments, and observe and document patients' conditions, identifying unexpected and/or significant findings.
Requirements:
Minimum Twelve (12) months or greater LVN direct patient care experience within the last three (3) years.
High School Diploma or GED.
Vocational Nurse License (California).
Basic Life Support.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) QBS Level II required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Pediatrics, Shot Nurse, Treatment Room, Message Center, Family and Internal Medicine experience preferred.
