About the Job
We are seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to join our team in Tucson, Arizona. As a PCT, you will play a critical role in providing direct patient care and support to our patients undergoing dialysis treatment. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care and attention.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including monitoring patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
- Set up and operate hemodialysis machines to provide life-sustaining treatment for patients.
- Build long-term relationships with patients and their families, educating them on kidney disease and dialysis-related topics.
- Work collaboratively with our healthcare team to identify and address patient needs and concerns.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Must be comfortable working around blood and needles.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
