Restaurant Depot is a leading wholesale cash-and-carry foodservice distributor seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Stocker to join our team. As a Meat Stocker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, stocking product on shelves, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous, and friendly customer service to internal and external customers.
- Stocking and Inventory Management: Remove boxes from pallets and place them on shelves, open boxes and remove single items to re-stock shelves, and organize and front-face items on shelves.
- Quality Control: Perform proper inspections to meet HACCP regulations and ensure that shelf pricing is correct and reflects the most recent pricing.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Assist in the review of inventory for product rotation daily to prevent shrinkage and damages, and follow a regular maintenance schedule of scrubbing and pulling out pallets and cleaning underneath.
- Safety and Security: Continuously review the status of department floors for safety hazards, promptly and safely handle any spills, and remove any trash from the floor and discard it appropriately.
- Team Collaboration: Work with Hi-Lo operators to ensure that the selling floor remains stocked and safe by promptly returning overstock pallets to the overhead reserves.
- Physical Demands: Walking/standing on concrete up to 10 hours/day, frequently turning, standing, reaching, stooping, and/or bending, frequently pushing/pulling objects 500 to 1,500 lbs, and frequently lifting/carrying objects more than 60 lbs.
- Work Environment: Frequent exposure to cold/freezing temperatures, equipment in motion (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters), and performing other work-related duties as required and assigned.
