About the Role

This position is a vital part of our Dining Services Team, responsible for providing exceptional service and maintaining high standards in food presentation and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Efficiently operates the Point of Sale (POS) system while adhering to all cash handling protocols.
  • Ensures service areas are well-maintained and adequately stocked with products.
  • Maintains an appealing product presentation throughout service hours.
  • Completes necessary food production documentation accurately.
  • Assembles and serves food items as directed.
  • Ensures cleanliness of dining and service areas, including waste management practices.
  • Utilizes various kitchen equipment, including blenders and ovens, while performing barista duties.
  • Organizes and stores food and supplies appropriately.
  • Conducts regular cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Collaborates with a diverse team, fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
  • Serves as a lead worker, overseeing staff in the absence of management, addressing customer service concerns, and training new employees.
  • Assigns tasks effectively to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one year of experience as a cashier handling US or Canadian currency.
  • Proficient in basic mathematical calculations.
  • Effective communication skills in English.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods.
  • Flexibility in work hours during academic breaks.
