We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Privacy and Information Security Attorney to join our Corporate Law Department. As a member of our team, you will advise on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance. You will provide legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements, enterprise risk management, and the compliance and ethics program.

The ideal candidate will have a juris doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school and excellent academic credentials. You must have an active license to practice law in at least one state and be a member in good standing of the bar. Additionally, you must be able to obtain a limited license in IL if not already appropriately licensed in IL.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise on enterprise programs related to privacy, information security, risk, and compliance
  • Provide legal advice on federal and state privacy and information security requirements
  • Collaborate with business leaders throughout the enterprise
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to privacy and information security

Qualifications:

  • Juris doctorate (J.D.) degree from an ABA accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in at least one state
  • Ability to obtain a limited license in IL if not already appropriately licensed in IL
  • 5+ years of experience with privacy and/or information security laws and regulations
  • Familiarity with risk and/or compliance programs
  • Familiarity with State Farm's company structure and general departments
