Pipefitter Specialist

Cajun Industries is seeking an experienced Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing pipe systems, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year

This role involves working on various projects, including plant operations and construction jobsites. You will need to read and interpret blueprints, ISO's field installations, material takeoffs, and field sketches to understand specifications and complete tasks.

• Fabricate and install screw pipe, socket weld pipe, stainless tubing, carbon steel weld pipe, and stainless steel weld pipe
• Miter and fabricate all pipe
• Use beveling machine to prepare pipes/tubes for welding
• Lay out for pipe penetrations
• Install all sizes of piping in pipe racks
• Install valves, pipe hangers, and pipe supports
• Assist other craft workers as needed

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• Physical stamina to perform sedentary to heavy work
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and supervision
• Reading and writing comprehension for giving and receiving directions
• Math skills for calculations
• Decision-making skills
• Detail-oriented with ability to remember, examine, and observe details

You will work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions. Must be able to walk on uneven surfaces, climb ladders, and operate hand and power tools.
