Position Overview: We are in search of a skilled Aerospace Assembly Specialist to enhance our innovative manufacturing team. This role offers a chance to work on groundbreaking aerospace technologies and play a vital role in the advancement of sophisticated space systems. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in aerospace, assembly, mechanical, and manufacturing processes, along with a strong grasp of AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards. This position requires a detail-oriented technician capable of interpreting technical drawings and ensuring top-quality work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assemble, install, and repair aerospace systems and components according to detailed specifications and blueprints.
  2. Execute mechanical assembly tasks including bonding, staking, torqueing, and wire routing.
  3. Conduct inspections of assembly and installation processes to confirm adherence to specifications, utilizing precision measuring tools.
  4. Document assembly and testing procedures to maintain traceability and accessibility of production activities.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to troubleshoot challenges and enhance assembly methods.
  6. Ensure compliance with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards in all tasks.
  7. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, following all safety protocols.
  8. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
  9. Assist in training fellow technicians and provide mentorship as necessary.
Qualifications:
  1. Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Aerospace Technician or in a comparable manufacturing role.
  2. Proven knowledge of aerospace systems and components.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  4. Familiarity with AS9100, IPC, and NASA standards.
  5. Strong mechanical skills and manual dexterity.
  6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  7. Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. High school diploma or equivalent required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  10. Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
