Job Title: Per Diem Occupational Therapist

Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Per Diem Occupational Therapist to join our team in Jackson, California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist to provide per diem services to our patients in Amador County. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, and implement rehabilitative programs to help patients build or restore vocational, homemaking, and daily living skills.
  • Gain confidence and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
  • Provide clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serve as a clinical instructor for assigned students.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program.
  • OT-Occupational Therapist certification.
  • BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
  • CDL-California Driver's License.
  • INS-Auto Insurance.
  • 2 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and application of professional practice and regulatory requirements.
  • Computer and required technology proficiency/competencies.
  • Effective and efficient professional communication (verbal & written) skills, as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, customer service, and community relations abilities.
Work Environment:

This position may regularly work, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drug(s) identified as hazardous, or potentially hazardous, by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) for purposes of USP 800.

Pay Range is $56.45 to $70.56 / hour.

This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training, and organizational needs.

Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
