JOB SUMMARY:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and operational excellence of educational facilities, ensuring a conducive environment for learning.
This role involves performing assigned cleaning duties and minor repairs while receiving supervision from the building administrator or head custodian.
Roles may vary based on the custodian level: 'Custodian I' focuses on cleaning; 'Custodian II' may include groundskeeping; 'Custodian III' handles cleaning and minor maintenance; 'Custodian IV' oversees other custodial staff.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent; successful completion of a criminal background check; demonstrated competency as required by relevant codes.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
- Perform floor care including scrubbing, mopping, and waxing.
- Ensure sanitation of high-touch areas, especially during flu season.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and report needs to the supervisor.
- Report any safety hazards or vandalism to the appropriate authority.
- Perform outdoor maintenance as needed, including snow removal and grounds upkeep.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain confidentiality.
