Job Summary:

The LPN will work under the supervision of a physician to provide general nursing care, assist with exams and procedures, and educate patients on their medical conditions and treatment plans. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate medical records, preparing patients for examination, and administering medications as ordered by the physician.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide general nursing care to patients, including vital sign checks, wound care, and medication administration
  • Assist physicians with exams and procedures, including phlebotomy and lab specimen collection
  • Conduct patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and self-care techniques
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories and test results
  • Prepare patients for examination, including preparing equipment and supplies
  • Administer medications as ordered by the physician, including injections and IV therapy
  • Perform waived lab tests and other basic care treatments
  • Screen calls and walk-ins, collect pertinent clinical information, and relay it to the physician
  • Maintain supplies and equipment, including stocking and sterilizing instruments
  • Practice OSHA safety standards and maintain accurate, legal, and ethical documentation
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited school for practical or vocational nursing required
  • Current, active LPN license to practice in state of employment required
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience as an LPN required
  • Minimum of 3 years overall clinical experience preferred
  • Experience working with geriatric patients preferred
  • EMR system experience preferred
