The Barn Worker is responsible for ensuring the health and well-being of the chickens at Hen Haven LLC. This includes maintaining the highest standards of animal welfare and ensuring that all equipment and facilities are in good working order.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the fair and humane treatment of livestock, adhering to industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Remove dead birds from all systems and assist with rodent control.
  • Collect eggs from all aisles and replace burned-out light bulbs.
  • Verify that water and feed systems are functioning correctly in both front and back barns.
  • Clean egg transfer equipment and blow off egg collectors.
  • Clean the front and back of barns, including removing debris and waste.
  • Capture loose birds to prevent escape.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience working with flocks is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and be agile.
