Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in a clinical setting, utilizing the nursing process and critical thinking to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring seamless coordination of care.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments, adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to established standards of care.
- Develop and initiate patient education plans, utilizing resources to teach and support patient and family education.
- Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, contributing to shared governance and quality improvement initiatives.
- Utilize clinical expertise to support other units and departments, resolving systems breakdowns and engaging in problem-solving.
- Escalate complex situations to the appropriate chain of command, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program.
- Licensed as an RN in the state of practice.
- Approved BLS certification required within 90 days.
- Other certification requirements may apply, as specified by the department.
The following physical demands are considered essential job functions:
- Regularly required to talk or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or smell.
- Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
