Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Hospital—Brooklyn. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating radiological equipment to produce clinical diagnostic films as directed by physicians. You will perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established policies and procedures, and ensure that all types of radiological exams are performed efficiently and competently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiological equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
  • Perform routine diagnostic procedures according to established policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all types of radiological exams are performed efficiently and competently
  • Identify and explain procedures to patients, and answer questions relating to the procedure
  • Use lead shields to protect patients from radiation exposure
  • Perform examinations in an organized and logical sequence, using correct side markers and placing initials on films
  • Accept direction from supervisors and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology
  • 2-5+ years of experience preferred
  • New York State License required
  • ARRT required
