Lead Cashier

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Lead Cashier to join our team at Petco. As a Lead Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing store operations, and leading a team of cashiers to ensure a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized customer service, answering questions and making product recommendations to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
• Manage store operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and visual merchandising.
• Lead and develop a team of cashiers, providing coaching and feedback to ensure excellent customer service and sales performance.
• Stay up-to-date on new products, services, and promotions to effectively communicate with customers and drive sales.
• Collaborate with other store teams, including sales, inventory, and customer service, to ensure a cohesive and customer-focused shopping experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a lead or management role.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
