Job Title: ESL Intervention Teacher

Join the Burnet Consolidated Independent School District team as an ESL Intervention Teacher, where you will play a vital role in supporting the academic success of Emergent Bilingual students.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated ESL Intervention Teacher to join our team. As an ESL Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with students, families, and staff to provide targeted support and instruction to help Emergent Bilingual students overcome language barriers and achieve academic success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to support Emergent Bilingual students in core academics.
  2. Provide direct instructional support to students, including small group and one-on-one instruction.
  3. Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and administrators to ensure seamless support for Emergent Bilingual students.
  4. Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to ensure a common understanding of student needs and progress.
  5. Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate (ELAR preferred).
  • English as a Second Language supplemental certificate or endorsement.
  • Fluent in Spanish, as demonstrated by certification or district-selected skills test.
  • Ability to work well with diverse populations and build strong relationships with students, families, and staff.
