Position Summary:
The Automotive Technician will perform skilled-level diagnostics and repairs across various vehicle systems, with the potential for specialization in specific repair areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute repairs as specified in the work order with precision and efficiency, adhering to company and manufacturer standards.
- Identify the root cause of malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs.
- Coordinate with the parts department to secure required components.
- Preserve and label parts for warranty claims or customer requests.
- Inspect assigned vehicles to assess the need for additional safety or service work.
- Inform the service advisor promptly about any extra work needed, unnecessary tasks, or delays in repairs.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work performed and recommendations on the repair order.
- Conduct road tests on vehicles as necessary or refer to the designated test technician.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform each essential duty effectively. The following qualifications are essential:
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications
- Manufacturer-Specific Training
- State Emission Certification
- State Vehicle Inspector Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Successful completion of pre-employment background checks and drug screening
