Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumental Technician to join our team at Western Sugar Cooperative.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring personal and food safety, as well as efficient operations, in our facility.
  • Developing and maintaining effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues.
  • Committing to regular attendance and adhering to our company's attendance policy.
  • Utilizing and promoting good maintenance practices throughout the facility.
  • Applying basic computer knowledge to support daily tasks.
  • Developing and implementing effective time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Multitasking, organizing, and self-motivating to achieve goals.
  • Working collaboratively within a crew context, leading, and coordinating electrical tasks and functions.
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A comprehensive set of quality hand tools.
  • The ability to learn and repair industrial facility equipment used in beet sugar processing.
  • Flexibility to work a universal schedule depending on company needs.
  • Sufficient knowledge of the beet sugar process to identify and diagnose electrical issues.
  • Industrial or Commercial Electric experience.
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation.
  • Certification to operate Mobile Equipment.
  • Electrical skills, including motor maintenance, welding, conduit installation, MCC controls, AC/DC circuits, electric schematics, PLC frequency drive knowledge, and valves and transmitter control systems.
Education and Certification

A High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
