Job Summary:

Safeway is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter at Safeway, you will be responsible for preparing meat products for sale to customers. This includes cutting, trimming, chopping, grinding, and otherwise preparing meats for display and sale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare meat products in salable sizes and condition for wrapping and display
  • Cut, trim, chop, grind, and otherwise prepare meats for sale
  • Operate saws, grinders, and other meat processing machinery
  • Inspect and sort meat products for quality and freshness
  • Remove expired or unsold meat products from display

Requirements:

To be successful as a Meat Cutter at Safeway, you will need to have excellent knife skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift and move heavy objects, and work in a refrigerated environment.
