Job Summary

Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT procedures and other radiographic exams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures and other radiographic exams, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Corroborate patient clinical history with procedure, documenting and making information available for radiologists.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results, gain cooperation, and minimize anxiety.
  • Select and operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort; immobilize patients as necessary.
  • Practice aseptic technique as necessary.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed; start and maintain intravenous access.
  • Initiate basic life support action when necessary.
  • Provide patient education.
  • Provide input for supply and equipment decisions, maintain control of inventory and supplies for assigned area.
  • Provide practical instruction for students and partners.
  • Observe universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers.
  • Apply principles of patient safety during all aspects of procedures, including assisting and transporting patients.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
  • Radiographer experience.
  • CT experience.
  • ARRT Radiography registration required.
  • ARRT Computed Tomography registration required.
  • WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
  • CPR/BLS certification required.
