Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to promote patient independence and functional ability.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with Ochsner Health's documentation standards.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in occupational therapy.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state of Louisiana or eligibility for licensure by examination or reciprocity from another state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to travel throughout and between facilities, with occasional overnight stays.
