About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Medical City Plano. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for operating standard, portable, and specialized X-ray equipment to perform routine and semi-complex radiographic examinations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures and take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Develop and process films and transmit to a Radiologist for interpretation.
  • Administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Ensure prompt transfer of images and documents to PACS system (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
  • Turn over and prepare room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.
  • Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited program with a certificate or degree in Radiographic Technology.
  • Should adhere to ARRT guidelines of obtaining 24 continuing education credits bi-annually.
  • Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R) or Registry eligible (must be registered within one year of completing program).
  • BCLS Required.
  • Two years of experience as RT(R) preferred. Will consider graduates.
  • On Call Required and must have the ability to report to LSMC within 30 minutes of call back.
