Cherry Bekaert is seeking a highly motivated Tax Staff to join our dynamic team. As a Tax Staff, you will play a key role in delivering innovative and sophisticated tax services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with clients from various industries to understand their tax needs and provide expert guidance.
  • Communicate effectively with project in-charges and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain tax knowledge by preparing individual tax returns, corporate tax returns, and partnership returns.
  • Research and resolve tax issues using online tools and resources.
  • Prepare and organize workpapers for client files, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform other essential duties as needed to support the team's goals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred.
  • CPA certification or eligibility to work towards obtaining a CPA license.
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or above, although not required.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs, including spreadsheets.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as needed, including frequent same-day travel and occasional out-of-town travel.
  • Ability to work moderate overtime throughout the year, with heavier overtime required during certain business cycles.
