Our healthcare system encompasses a psychiatric hospital, various specialty care centers, four residency programs, and nearly 40 affiliated physician practices.
YOUR ROLE:
As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will be responsible for the accurate preparation and distribution of medication orders, ensuring the proper management, application, and storage of pharmaceuticals within the pharmacy. You will uphold departmental standards and translate policies into the daily operations of the pharmacy. Your role will also involve serving as a vital information resource for patients, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding medication therapy and drug-related inquiries.
In collaboration with the healthcare team, you will optimize patient medication therapy by delivering comprehensive clinical pharmacy services. Your responsibilities may extend to specialty areas such as infectious diseases, oncology, cardiovascular care, medication safety, and pharmacoeconomics.
REPORTING STRUCTURE:
Reports to: Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacy Supervisor
Supervises: Pharmacy Technician I and II
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Minimum: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited institution. Preferred: Advanced degree or enrollment in an advanced degree program.
Experience:
Preferred: At least 1 year of experience as a registered pharmacist in a hospital environment.
Licensure:
Current Florida pharmacist license or eligibility for licensure in Florida.
