About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Optum. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and coordinate comprehensive treatment plans for patients with moderate to severe social or mental behavior problems.
  • Form effective therapeutic alliances with patients, supporting their unique needs and goals, and positively impacting client outcomes and retention.
  • Demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge and modeling as it relates to individual goals, treatment plans, and diagnoses.
  • Timely and accurately document all client interactions as dictated by law, ethical standards, board requirements, policy, and practices.
  • Provide one-to-one supportive counseling, observe client behavior, physical and emotional symptoms, and perform assessments as needed.
Requirements
  • Fully licensed in WA state (PhD, PsyD, LMHC, LICSW) at the time employment begins.
  • Individual therapy experience in an outpatient setting.
  • Ability to diagnose and treat patients.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Training and experience in brief therapy.
