Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Professional Land Surveyor to lead our survey division and drive growth. As a key member of our team, you will oversee business operations, enhance productivity, and ensure high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the survey division, focusing on productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Conduct boundary checks, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, and review survey plans for accuracy and compliance.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to bring technical and business expertise to projects.
  • Review and approve survey-related plans before submission, maintaining high standards.
  • Prepare proposals, manage client communications, and contribute to business development efforts.
  • Supervise or collaborate with field crew members, draftspersons, and other survey staff.
  • Ensure state licensure requirements are met and oversee compliance for survey projects in PA, NJ, and other applicable states.
Requirements
  • Active PLS license in Pennsylvania (required), with New Jersey licensure highly preferred; additional state licenses (NY, DE, MD) are a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying, preferably within land development or civil engineering.
  • Strong business acumen with proposal writing, client interaction, and project productivity management skills.
  • Proficiency in survey software and technology, such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GPS/GIS equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing single-person field crews.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
