About the Job

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week, with rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting registered nurses and physicians with patient care, transporting patients and equipment, and performing various clerical tasks.

The ideal candidate will have one year of clerical or customer service experience and six months of related nursing assistant experience. A High School diploma or equivalent is required, as well as current certification as a Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies.
  • Critically review patient care documentation, making note of any significant changes in the patient's condition, and report immediately to a registered nurse or physician.
  • Provide a variety of clerical tasks, including organizing and prioritizing workload, greeting and directing visitors, researching information, reviewing orders for logic and clarity, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
  • Perform routine quality assurance audits, safety checks, and inventory of supplies.
