Job Summary
The Town of Oxford is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter/EMT to join our team. As a Firefighter/EMT, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and fire suppression services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to emergency calls and provide Basic (Advanced) Life Support Emergency Medical Care in accordance with Massachusetts Law, Statewide EMS Protocols, and Departmental orders.
- Participate in training classes and maintain all assigned equipment in proper operating condition.
- Monitor and maintain response vehicles in response-ready condition.
- Complete and monitor checklists, reports, forms, and other legal documents each shift.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited EMS Training Program and certification as a paramedic.
- American Heart Association CPR/Defib certification required.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Career firefighter/EMT lateral transfer from a full-time fire department.
- Firefighter I/II Certification.
- EMT Certification (Paramedic preferred).
Benefits
- Salary range: $ [insert salary range].
- Education stipend: Masters $7,800 annually, Bachelors $5,200 annually, Associates $2,600 annually.
