Job Title: Robot Technician

Starship Technologies Inc. is revolutionizing the delivery industry with its cutting-edge autonomous robots. As a Robot Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and efficiency of our robot fleet.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the health of our global fleet of robots through daily maintenance and repair tasks, including diagnosing unforeseen problems, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance activities and upgrades on robots and infrastructure, monitoring and servicing internal systems, running tests, and completing reports.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the causes of faults or problems and develop solutions to prevent or solve underlying issues.
Operational Tasks:
  • Accurately document all tasks and service concerns or robot-related issues using appropriate applications and tools.
  • Maintain a clean and organized hub by performing spare parts inventory audits and ensuring all tools are accounted for and returned to their proper location.
  • Work with the engineering team to identify potential improvements regarding robot health and design.
  • Assist the operational team and vendors/merchants by providing in-person assistance and acting as a Starship brand representative.
  • Occasionally support the operational service team by assisting with robot field rescues or operational services tasks.
Requirements:
  • Possess a passion for robots and innovative technologies.
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
  • Previous experience in Technical Support and with service desk applications is beneficial but not required.
  • Good knowledge of mechanics, electronics, and IT.
  • Excellent client-facing skills and the ability to work independently.
