Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Direct Care: Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting, based on individualized care plans.
- Respond to Resident Needs: Promptly respond to resident requests and community alarms, promoting independence and building strong relationships.
- Maintain Accurate Records: Document resident care and activities, conduct safety checks, and communicate effectively with colleagues.
- Ensure Resident Safety: Report changes in resident condition, follow safety protocols, and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Support Resident Well-being: Address behavioral and psychosocial needs, respecting resident rights and promoting independence.
- Assist with Mobility Needs: Help residents with mobility requirements, including transferring, walking, and using mobility aids safely.
- Collaborate with Colleagues: Work effectively with caregiving staff, nurses, and healthcare professionals to provide coordinated care.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Commitment to Health and Safety: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy environment.
- Reliability and Organization: Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate Attitude: A positive and compassionate attitude towards residents and colleagues.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
