Job Summary

Ottawa University is seeking a highly skilled Medical Counselor to join our team. As a Medical Counselor, you will provide culturally responsive personal counseling and case management to enrolled students in need of services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal counseling and case management to students
  • Convene resources and advocate on behalf of students
  • Conduct workshops and engage in research relevant to unit objectives
  • Provide consultation and education to faculty and staff regarding student mental health needs

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in counseling, psychology, social work or a related field
  • Three or more years experience in providing personal counseling to undergraduates
  • Licensure as an LCP, LPC, LCPC, or equivalent level

Working Conditions:

  • May require evening and weekend activities for certain events and meetings
  • Office building requires daily use of stairs

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel required
