Research Nurse I

Cedars-Sinai is seeking a highly skilled Research Nurse I to join our team in the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism/Medicine. As a Research Nurse I, you will play a critical role in providing hands-on care to patients participating in clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient nursing care within the context of supporting clinical trial study implementation.
- Work collaboratively with the Principal Investigator, physicians, and other research staff to provide hands-on care in triaging, documenting vitals, administering investigational drugs or interventions, and providing clinical educational services to participants and their families.
- Assist with coordinating aspects of research, including interactions with research staff and study participants, data compilation, IRB prep and submission, grant proposals, and patient recruitment/logistics.
- Monitor research participant and report potential adverse events to a member of the research team.
- Record research data (vital signs, research compound administered, participant responses) in approved source documents.
- Triage patients by phone and provide clinical information to the patient.
- Coordinate patient visits to follow up on clinical issues and provide necessary care.
- Assist with recruitment and logistics of study participants.
- Complete and document study participant enrollment, assessment/reassessment, education, and follow-up activities.
- Perform and coordinate study participant interventions as required.
- Serve as a liaison between study participants and PI or other research staff.
- Prepare data spreadsheets for Investigator and/or department.
- Complete Case Report Forms.
- Assist with data compilation and documentation.
- May process, ship, track, or otherwise handle research specimens.
- Associate of Science degree in Nursing (ASN)/College Diploma in Nursing, required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), preferred.
- Valid and current California RN license, required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, required.
- Clinical Research Coordinator Certification, preferred.
- One (1) year minimum of clinical nursing experience, required.
- One (1) year of clinical research experience, preferred.
