We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and promoting a positive and supportive environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assess resident conditions and nursing needs, identifying appropriate actions to meet physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs.
- Ensure that care is given and documented for each resident in accordance with quality standards and clinical records.
- Communicate changes in resident conditions during shift reports and notify physicians and responsible parties as required.
- Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered, following established procedures.
- Assist in making physician rounds and implementing physician orders.
- Create resident care assignments, ensuring a fair and equal distribution of resident load.
- Promote a positive team approach to achieve objectives and participate in maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in assignments for improvement of resident care.
- Input to the Director of Nursing regarding employee retention, counseling, probation, and dismissal.
- Assist the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing with designated tasks, such as quality assurance monitors.
- Current Virginia Registered Nurse License.
- Certified in CPR.
- Experience in geriatrics or related healthcare.
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
- Leadership abilities in communication and interpersonal skills.
