**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer, Gameplay to join our Reality Labs team. As a Gameplay Engineer, you will have the opportunity to design and develop new hardware and software that will revolutionize the way people interact with technology.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • **Architecting Efficient Systems**: Design and develop efficient and reusable systems that drive complex AR/VR applications.
  • **Prototyping New Interactions**: Create prototypes of new interactions and features with a focus on intuitive usability and feel.
  • **Leading Collaboration**: Lead collaboration with multi-functional teams to achieve compelling experiences.
  • **Engaging with Internal Teams**: Engage with internal teams to understand and utilize features that will power social UX.

**Requirements**

  • **Education**: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or relevant technical field.
  • **Experience**: 6+ years experience as an engineer shipping user-facing features on games or other 3D interactive products.
  • **Skills**: Demonstrated experience interfacing with other internal and external teams to incorporate their innovations and vice versa.

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • **Programming Experience**: Experience with a combination of Windows, Android, and game console programming.
  • **Game Engine Experience**: Experience with Unity 3D or Unreal.
  • **Math and Algebra**: Strong understanding of 3D math, linear algebra, and techniques.
  • **AR and VR Experience**: Experience with augmented reality (HoloLens, Magic Leap, ARKit, etc.) and virtual reality (Rift, Quest, VIVE, Gear VR, etc.).
  • **Networking Experience**: Experience with real-time networked features (i.e., synchronous multiplayer games).
  • **Programming Languages**: Experience with C++ and/or C# programming.
