About the Role

This is a specialized repair and maintenance role focused on diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment, as well as biomedical equipment. As an Imaging Field Service Specialist II, you will provide high-quality repair and maintenance services to ensure the optimal performance of these critical medical devices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced repair and maintenance tasks on intermediate imaging equipment, including Digital Radiography units, basic CT scanners, and other related systems.
  • Utilize training opportunities to improve skills and reduce contract dependency for specific equipment.
  • Lead and assist team members in maintaining efficient and cost-effective repair and maintenance practices within the Clinical Engineering department.
  • Handle emergency service situations and communicate effectively with vendors, departments, and Clinical Engineering managers.
  • Collaborate in ordering parts and supplies necessary for servicing diagnostic imaging and biomedical equipment.
  • Provide coverage and support for the CE Manager during their absence.
  • Contribute to identifying new service opportunities within locations serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.
  • Offer input on service cost history to the CE Manager, emphasizing Contract Vs. Time and Material contrasts for cost reduction.
  • May also be responsible for repairing and maintaining general biomedical equipment as secondary duties or assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • An Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; equivalent military education, technical program graduation, or validated training certificates; or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment, such as General X-Ray (Rad), including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables, and C-Arms.
  • Ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment.
  • CRES preferred, and valid Driver's License required.
