Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Home Health Aid to join our team at MercyOne Home Health Care and Hospice Agency. As a Home Health Aid, you will provide essential care and support to patients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Follow care plans developed by RNs to ensure patient safety and comfort
  • Assist patients with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Help with household tasks, such as meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry
  • Measure and record patient vital signs, as ordered
  • Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as assigned
  • Assist patients with self-administration of medication, as assigned by an RN
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Completion of a federally compliant training program and successful completion of a competency evaluation program
  • Must have been on the CNA registry list in the State of Iowa during their career
  • Documentation of one year's employment as an aide in an institution or home care setting
  • Meets Mercy Home Care hiring criteria, as defined in agency minimum standards
