Position Overview

Role Summary

PCSI is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant who will be responsible for performing essential maintenance tasks across various systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components. This role involves conducting minor repairs and adjustments to ensure the functionality and safety of facilities.

This position will be under the supervision of the PMP Supervisor and is located in a dynamic work environment. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Hourly wage of $17.20.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with employer contributions for employee-only coverage.
  • 401k retirement plan with employer matching contributions up to 6%.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform minor repairs and adjustments on HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and structural components.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of mechanical rooms.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as changing filters and cleaning cooling systems.
  • Assist in the manufacturing, repair, and installation of screens and glass.
  • Carry out maintenance on signage, including inspections and replacements.
  • Complete necessary documentation for maintenance activities.

Additional Duties:

  • Replace electrical components such as receptacles and switches.
  • Patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.
  • Repair or replace plumbing fixtures and toilets.
  • Paint and maintain structures and equipment.
  • Perform repairs on concrete surfaces and flooring.
  • Install doors and locks as needed.
  • Replace broken windows.
  • Conduct general maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Other related tasks as assigned.

Essential Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to perform assigned maintenance duties effectively.
  • Prior experience in facility maintenance is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders regularly; kneeling and bending frequently required.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs multiple times throughout the day.
  • Proficient in various maintenance tasks and use of hand and power tools.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

Other Requirements:

  • Must pass background checks and drug screenings.
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearances for site access.
