We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ED Tech to join our team at Yale New Haven Health. As an ED Tech, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities- Observation and Communication
- Observe and communicate patient needs to the nursing team in a timely and effective manner.
- Patient Care
- Provide direct patient care, including assisting with daily living activities and promoting patient comfort and well-being.
- Decentralized Laboratory Testing
- Collect and process laboratory specimens, following established policies and procedures.
- Non-Therapeutic Functions
- Perform non-therapeutic functions, such as vital sign checks and patient transfers, as assigned by the nursing team.
- Accountability and Responsibility
- Take ownership of daily tasks and responsibilities, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The employee must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and assist with patient transfers as needed.
