Job Overview
New Perceptions North LLC is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Addiction Therapist to join our team in a Residential Substance Abuse Treatment environment. In this role, you will work closely with clients and their families to assess their psychosocial needs and provide intervention services.
About the Role
This position requires a strong understanding of the 12-step model of recovery and experience working with individuals struggling with substance abuse. You will be responsible for maintaining the well-being of clients and the integrity of the program, as well as providing crisis intervention and case consultation services to other professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide intervention services to meet client needs utilizing the treatment team and resources provided
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on best practices
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Current registration and enrollment in a state-recognized chemical dependency counselor certification program, such as Registered Alcohol and Drug Technician (RADT) with CCAPP
- At least six months of substance abuse or related field experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- A valid California driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience working in a residential treatment setting and proficiency in basic computer skills, including word processing and internet access, are strongly preferred. A working knowledge of medication training and CPR/First Aid certification are also beneficial.
