We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Application Security Engineer to join our team at Citizens Financial Group, Inc. This role will be part of a collaborative team working to identify, interpret, and drive vulnerability remediation in enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the coordination and presentation of application vulnerability reviews to development, risk, audit, and business teams.
- Use state-of-the-art application vulnerability scanning tools to identify flaws, weaknesses, and vulnerabilities in web applications.
- Automate application security solutions across the enterprise.
- Drive innovative thinking and ideas to enable continuous improvement across Attack Surface Management.
- Monitor and respond to Open Source Software weaknesses and exposures.
- Review and coordinate changes to cyber security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Self-audit our application security program to instill continuous improvement.
- Guide development teams in best practices across all stages of the SDLC process.
- Evaluate and recommend application security tools and technologies.
- 3 or more years of strong applicable security or development experience.
- Hands-on experience operating in an Agile/DevSecOps oriented environment.
- Experience implementing and supporting application security tools in automated build pipelines.
- Ability to present complex, technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Demonstrable experience with application security testing techniques.
- Manual security testing and analysis of web applications, APIs, and mobile applications.
- Skilled in at least one major scripting or programming language.
- Recall level of knowledge of SDLC principles.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Security related certifications such as OSCP, OSWE, CSSLP, GWAPT, GWEB, CEH.
- Experience with Jira and ServiceNow for service delivery.
