Job Title: Travel Psychiatric Nurse

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel psychiatric nurse to join our team. As a travel psychiatric nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with diverse patient populations and develop your skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a qualified travel psychiatric nurse to work in a psychiatric unit. The ideal candidate will have experience working with patients with mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, suicidal ideation, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and borderline personality disorder. The nurse will also have experience with IVs, CPAPs, wound care, and diabetic care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care to patients with mental health issues
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Document patient progress and communicate with families and caregivers
Requirements:
  • MA License
  • 2 years minimum of experience
  • Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell)
  • Proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC
  • Competent in the use of IV pumps
  • Competent in care of a diabetic patient
  • AHA BLS Certification
  • Certification in De-escalation
