Claim Specialist

This is a hybrid position that allows you to work from home and collaborate with our team in-office. You'll have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in injury claims handling, working with a variety of claims characteristics, complexity, and severity.
Responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing injury claims, conducting thorough investigations, evaluating medical records, and negotiating settlements with claimants. You'll also collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper claim handling.
We're looking for a strong communicator with excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills. If you're able to work collaboratively in a team environment and are self-motivated, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze injury claims to determine coverage, liability, and damages
- Conduct thorough investigations by gathering relevant information, interviewing involved parties, and reviewing supporting documentation
- Evaluate medical records, police reports, and other related documents to assess the extent of injuries and liability
- Negotiate settlements with claimants, ensuring fair compensation is provided within policy limits
- Document all claim activities, maintaining accurate records, and preparing reports as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Claim handling experience in bodily injury and property damage liability claims, as well as uninsured or underinsured motorist coverage claims
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to multi-task across technical platforms
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective negotiation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and able to work independently
